A Life’s Work —
Every life has a rhythm. It took me time to find mine, listening first, then making something of what I heard.
Philosophy taught me to approach problems as questions instead of answers, and to have the courage to create concepts of my own. Working with Arakawa and Gins gave me an appreciation for design, architecture, and storytelling — how a space can think and feel, and what it means to encounter new landscapes as humans. Montessori gave me a beautiful framework to think about how to support curiosity, and in doing so I realized the world wasn't exactly built to meet us where we are. I wanted to figure out how to shape a new relationship to it.
A company taught me that an organization can be an environment too, the same care a classroom asks for. I've always been drawn to where the humanities meet technology, and building one let me live in that intersection. Then came scale. Students, educators, families, more than I'd imagined. And I learned the difference between reaching a voice and empowering one.
A studio I started with a friend is still teaching me. We haven't shipped anything yet — tinkering, it turns out, is its own kind of listening.
The mission was always the same: inspiring learning as a way of life. The only way to connect the dots is with your heart.
